SOLUTION
Production lines for mineral wool insulation boards
After fibre production, the mineral wool line turns fibres into boards ready for dispatch. FIMEC SH provides equipment for collection, forming, curing, cutting and packaging.

Stacking and packing
From the fibre mat to the packaged board
The collection section forms the mat that enters the curing oven. After heat treatment, cutting equipment produces the required board dimensions. Inspection, stacking and packing then prepare the packs.
The end of the line combines palletising and outer wrapping. Each station is defined alongside its upstream and downstream equipment, particularly at the interfaces between cutting, stacking and packaging.
Line functions
The insulation mat forming section can use flights or low-pressure drums depending on the wool being produced. Collection is sized for the fibre production heads and mat width.
The curing oven provides heat treatment with airflow organised by zones. The product and binder determine operating settings.
Cutting stations determine board width and length. Shredding prepares offcuts for transfer to storage.
An inspection unit coupled with microwave detection can remove and replace non-conforming boards before packaging. Stackers build stacks using forks, curtain mechanisms, direct pallet placement or robots.
Insulation board packing can include wool compression and grouping into multipacks. The choice depends on the product packaging requirements.
Packs are then centred and oriented for palletising. Before hooding, a module can measure load height and length. Outbound logistics then moves the load towards storage or dispatch.
