Concrete carousel and stacker crane line
Concrete stacker crane: mould and product storage
The concrete stacker crane stores filled moulds in the curing chamber and retrieves them after curing. Working with the carousel, it links mould preparation to demoulding and the discharge of finished products on pallets.

From empty moulds to pallets of finished products
The carousel and stacker crane line connects mould preparation, concrete pouring, storage for curing and demoulding. Automating physically demanding operations helps operators and contributes to safety, consistent manufacturing quality and productivity. Seven types of equipment handle the product through the process.
Workstation conveyor
The conveyor serves the cleaning, oiling, accessory fitting and filling stations. Cleaning and oiling can be robotised. Inserts and accessories can be fitted using a gripper to eliminate physically demanding handling. Concrete is poured semi-automatically using a concrete pump.
Concrete stacker crane
The stacker crane places filled moulds in the curing chamber and retrieves them after curing. A mechanism compensates for deflection caused by the mould’s weight to keep it level. A specific motion profile also limits concrete overflow and drips during transfer.
Storage system
Filled moulds remain in modular racks during curing. The racks can be extended to increase storage capacity without modifying the carousel.
Demoulding gantry
Designed for loads of up to 3 tonnes, the gantry demoulds the product onto a pallet through smooth rotation. The product turning sequence is programmable.
Automatic pallet dispenser
It positions the storage pallets required for stacking products.
Stacking table
The table stacks finished products on the storage pallet. Palletising is automatic, with stacking available.
Product discharge shuttle
The shuttle conveys finished products and accumulates them outside the line. A forklift operator then collects them for removal.
What the line enables
Accessory fitting
Can be automated using a gripper
Concrete pouring
Semi-automatic, using a concrete pump
Curing
Filled moulds stored in a curing chamber
Mould support
Compensation for deflection under load
Motion control
Reduced overflow and drips
Demoulding
Automatic, by turning
Product turning
Programmable, smooth motion
Palletising
Automatic, with stacking available
Storage expansion
Extend the racks without modifying the carousel
Discharge
External shuttle, then forklift collection
The line is suitable for manholes and manhole bases, reducer sections, well rings, inlet sections, pipes and fittings, stormwater chambers and concrete containers. It handles bulky, large or complex-shaped products.
Moulds are designed to suit the geometry of each product. They allow components such as seals or steps to be added without manual intervention.
The store holds the moulds during curing, separately from the carousel workstations. This arrangement allows the next batch to be prepared while products remain in the curing chamber.
Extending the racks provides a way to increase storage capacity. Curing time and production batches determine the number of storage positions required.
The video shows the transfer of moulds and stormwater chambers in a carousel and stacker crane line. It illustrates how the production stations connect to the store.
